NICE TO MEET YOU
ABOUT US
Wives, mothers and best friends. We’ve been together since 2008 and from Day 1, for Tami, it was love at first sight. For Selima, it was probably around Day 23. We’re truly partners in all things, life and business. It isn't always been easy, but we’re committed to walking this path with one another. Our intention to our commitment keeps us accountable to one another and we couldn’t imagine life any other way.Â

About Iwilla Remedy
[pronounced: eye-WILL-uh]
Iwilla Remedy was founded in 2012 by Selima Harleston Lust, a clinical herbalist and spiritual educator and Tami Lust. The name “Iwilla” is Selima’s middle name, a powerful reminder that healing begins with will—the will to grow, to feel, to shift, and to return to wholeness.
What began in Brooklyn, New York as a handmade body care line has evolved into a nationally recognized herbal wellness brand rooted in Atlanta, Georgia. Since the beginning, Iwilla Remedy’s mission has remained clear: to help people reconnect with the natural world and remember their innate ability to heal.
Through classes, consultations, custom formulations, Iwilla Remedy supports the full spectrum of healing—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Their work is guided by the CALYPSO Healing Method®, a registered process developed by Selima & Tami that combines plant wisdom with spiritual practice and emotional awareness.
At Iwilla Remedy, there’s a core belief that many physical symptoms are signals of deeper imbalances—emotional weight, energetic stagnation, spiritual disconnection. That’s why every offering, from one-on-one support to their flagship course Herbal Medicine for the Soul®, is designed to address the whole person, not just the parts that hurt.
Though the team is small, their commitment to helping people transform their lives is unwavering. Iwilla Remedy continues to serve as a trusted resource for those seeking a holistic path to wellness—one that honors the connection between the earth and the soul, between deep care and deep change.
If you’re ready to reclaim your wholeness, Iwilla Remedy is here to walk with you.
Our Wellness Philosophy
We’ve explored the full spectrum. We’ve not given a damn about our health, didn’t exercise and made eating and buying decisions based on convenience and price. This meant a resounding “yes” to processed foods and an “of course” to the cheapest commercial cleaners.
We’ve also been extremely strict with our exercise regimens and diets, practically demanding to know the name of the hen who laid the fried egg that graced our plates. Looking back, we have to laugh at our year of doing laundry with soap nuts (we were nuts for thinking those clothes were actually clean)! Neither extreme worked for long and both paths led to illness and resentment.
Now we’ve returned to the center. Our philosophy on maintaining wellness is this: as natural as possible. It’s that simple. We make what we can, eat most meals at home, buy good quality foods (minimal fake ingredients, organic when we can and humanely raised), use natural cleaners, and formulate our own herbal medicine for preventative and acute conditions. We play. We get outside. When we travel, we prepare and bring as much of our own goods as we can and is reasonable. We do our best to follow the same principles we use at home, while enjoying the experience of being immersed in a new culture.
Our Spirituality
Everything is spiritual. Everything has a deeper meaning.
Physical pain and illness in the body is merely a reflection, symptomatic, of what is going on in the spirit. Every wound can be healed.
We are all connected. We are all Divine.
God’s love is reflected in all of us. It’s up to us to recognize it.
God’s love isn’t limited to the human experience, nor can it be adequately or comprehensively explained in a book.
We innately have the power and are capable of addressing every life challenge.
Everyone on the planet has a role. Every soul has free will, to stay, go, destroy, heal, do whatever they want or nothing at all.
Christ Consciousness is choosing the path of unconditional love.
We draw from different traditions to develop our own spiritual practice. We pray, chant, affirm, meditate, breathe, sit, divine, ask, seek, believe, read, detach, forget, create, give thanks, smudge, write, expand, cleanse, heal, lay hands, dream, see, speak, channel, release, protect, enjoy, set intentions, love, read, co-create, cry, dissect, empathize, forgive, unfold, blossom, bow, try, try, try again.
We accept that the spiritual path isn’t a race. We won’t get it all in this lifetime, or probably the next. We’ve been here before and we’ll return again, hopefully with more wisdom and less karma to balance.
